FlashPaper Component 0.7.1

UPDATE (April 22, 2007):
FlashPaper 0.8 has been released.

I have fixed a small bug that caused the FlashPaper component to not process a new documentPath if set dynamically before the component had completely loaded.

Description:
The FlashPaper component simplifies the process of working with the FlashPaper API and adds functionality either not documented or not provided in the API.

Installation:
- Unzip FlashPaper_0.7.1.zip
- DoubleClick on FlashPaper.mxp to install with the Extension Manager.

    Hey Johannes,

I’m not sure I exactly understand your question. The component houses your flashpaper docs, think of it like Adobe Reader for your pdfs. Just change the background color of the documents that you want to convert to flashpaper docs and your background will change in the component.

Is it possible to combine the FlashPaper customization script and the document into one Flash file so that instead of the customization file calling the document, the customized interface and the document appear in a single Flash file?

Is it possible to combine the FlashPaper customization file with the FlashPaper document file so that both appear in a single SWF?

I had a question about this: is it possible to change or overlay the loading symbol that is embedded in the flash paper movie? are there events firing that I can add a listener to, for instance?

Not sure if it is a bug or something I am doing. I am using SWF studio to open a second EXE and then push a variable so the second EXE opens a Flash Paper Doc. Here are the results:
Attempt 1 – Opens the EXE and the Flash Paper doc opens correct.
Attempt 2 – If the EXE is already open, the Flash Paper changes to the new doc, but only uses 2/3 of the component space. When this occurs, everything with the FP doc appears correct except it is not using the full stage. Any ideas?

Mate i seem to be havin’ a problem here. I unpacked the zip, installed the component, restarted Flash and the thing is nowhere to be found. Not in the components window anyhow. I’m on a mac, not sure if that matters or not.

    Am i missing something?

Thanks, this works really well. Is there a way to assign the document path and initial zoom outside of the SWF using FlashVars?

When I enter a path it just sits there and stays on the loading screen forever. Any idea why?

Is it possible to set property on the pages, like visible or alpha…., I don’t want to see the white page background in flashpaper.

I have a problem. When I use your component by itself, the links in my pdf>word>flashpaper docs work perfectly…

But when I combine your component with the code given on the the adove devnet article by Kendell Whitehouse… http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashpaper/articles/import_flpaper2.html

the links stop working on the flash form containing your component…

I am building an interactive annual report with flash forms… each form contains content from converted pdf’s and one section has links in the pdf… which is why I used your component. I could easily switch between 8 swf on one form…

    Any thoughts?

Although I’ve double clicked the .mxp and recieved a success message from the Extension Manager I cannot find the component in my Flash MX 6 Component Pane.
